Acrylic mounting systems have a short cure time and are recommended for high pressure and high temperature sensitive sample installations. Buehler's products include acrylic liquids, powders and kits for various metallographic sample testing applications.
Samplkwick-acrylic mounting compound is designed to package PCB samples quickly and efficiently. By immerging the sample in an acrylic liquid prior to potting, Buehler's SamplKwick wets well and enters smaller holes and grooves, easily providing the edge holding required for good permeability and excellent electronic preparation. In order to reduce the viscosity of mixed acrylic acid, the optimal volume mixing ratio of powder to liquid is 1∶1 or 1.5∶1.
VariKleer- ideal for use with pressure vessels, produces a clear acrylic coating that hardens and reduces shrinkage, ensuring that PCB sample samples are ground to the desired level. For transparent installations, use SamplKup instead of EPDM or a one-time installation.
VariDur- is a quick system of acrylic fillers with short curing cycles compared to epoxy resins where edge curing is not critical and is particularly suitable for hardening of metal samples.
